Stage 3

You cross high grazing country on the way to Doberdol - around 7 hours of varied terrain with some of the wildest scenery on the northern loop. The trail can be faint in places; follow markers carefully and don't assume phone signal will bail you out.

Doberdol sits in open pasture country and feels properly off-grid. Pack lunch and treat water sources as uncertain until you confirm what's available locally.
